Does anyone know the recommended throw distance for the Da-Lite High Contrast Cinema Vision screen. I have on order a 106" screen being delivered. The projector I have is the Sony VPL-HS51.
Thanks,

AFAIK, the Da-Lite HCCV isn't prone to hotspotting, so you should just be able to go with the optimum distance for your projector. Generally the sweet spot for the optics is near the center of the zoom.
I don't have Flash on my work computer to do this for you, but just go to the entry for the VPL-HS51 on Projector Central, click on Projection Calculator, put in all your info, and go somewhere near the center of the range it gives you. | founding member Joined: Mar 25, 2005 Posts: 12 |
Thanks for the information... I remember ordering samples from Stewart while researching screens and the gentleman informed me of an optimal distance the projector should be from the screen. I was wondering if Da-Lite also had the same information.
