Just finally got everything installed. Been a long old 2 months.

Now I bought a chromecast 4k to connect to the Denon 6500h to the projector.

im trying to get 4k streaming to work, ive set the chromecast up and it says HDR and I changed the output to 4k50hz 4:2:0 to save some bandwidth and im having issues getting 4k content to stream.

Same out of my cables set top box as well for the apps.


My oppo 203 shows 4k through the same system with no issues

Any help would be ideal
I'm on 1gb broadband and that isn't an issue

Make sure the 3800 is setup to enhanced HDMI mode in the settings so it is asking for a full 4K signal. Also you want to be sure that the HDMI cables you are using can actually support 18Gb/s HDMI. While many are rated at doing this, many aren't capable of actually carrying that much bandwidth. So, you do want to test directly with shorter HDMI cables and with devices plugged directly into the projector to ensure that the source/projector does work as expected.

I tend to use higher end devices like a Roku Ultra, or Apple 4K, or similar to ensure the device itself is as good as possible.

Also, if you are using Wi-Fi, it should not be an issue, but you want to be sure you are getting good reception on the device itself. Wi-Fi reception is completely separate from your Internet speed and can be horrendous. Especially on smaller 'stick' type devices. A wired network connection should always be strived for when streaming content.
