Attached photos of green spot on screen. Does anybody know if this is the lamp or polarizer. I've read the pinned note saying its likely polarizer but can anybody confirm this? Is replacing the polarizer a viable option? thanks

That looks like the polarizer. Not sure how much effort that is to work on or replace. You may want to post these photos on our Facebook group as there is a great repair guy who posts to that group who may be able to give you some real insight into the amount of effort required to repair something like this.
The lamp is never the type of thing that should be able to cause something like this. But, it is super important to ensure you are using a quality replacement lamp and not cheap Amazon stuff. Thanks AV. That's what I was afraid of. Almost impossible to get a professional polariser replaced where I am now. Is there any way to confirm its not the lamp without buying a new one? |
