Hi all, Have a little issue I hope someone can help me with. I recently got a pair of Panasonic PT-AR100U projectors. Issue is that I can't find or figure out how to reset the projector to factory defaults. There are a bunch of the settings grayed out with no clear way access them. The original install was ceiling front which means inverted and reversed. Any Ideas? Thanks in Advance! | moderator Joined: Mar 28, 2005 Posts: 13,327 |
Typically, a reset is in the menu of the projector itself. You should go through the manual, completely, and see if there is anything in there.
Otherwise, you may need to reach out to Panasonic to see if they are able to guide you through the reset procedure.
It is unusual for things to be greyed out in a menu unless some additional specific settings were put in place to do so or if it requires an image for things to be available. Yah, I have spent more than a fair amount of time going thru the manual for the unit I pulled down from the site. I also have been thru every menu on the projector as well but to no avail. Seems rather odd that there is no way to default the projector in the manual. I will dig at it again tomorrow and see if there is anything I missed. I will also throw a signal into the HDMI port as well just in case. I know that for some of their other projectors there are a pair of button presses that are used to reset the unit but they didn't work on this one. I also perused the serial interface table as well to see if there was a command but nothing was found... Sigh. What a PITA. At least I didn't have to pay for the unit so. |
