Hello
I have acquired a PT-AX100 with the well documented Iris problem.
I have downloaded the service manual which gives instructions on how to remove the iris component. I have also come across a FixitFrank video showing the removed unit which he says he is going to clean up.
My question then is has anybody had experience of stripping down and cleaning the iris component and then reassembling? If so was it a success and are there any pitfalls to look out for?

These forums don't see a ton of action, and while FixItFrank did stop by at some point, I don't think he has checked in here often. It may be better to reach out to him directly on his YouTube channel or any provided email addresses he may give.
