Looking at a 16:10 projector for a large classroom. Can only find projectors in 16:10 format that have 5000+ lumens. Want to use an existing 16:9 120 screen. Was told that most 16:10 projectors can be adjusted to 16:9 aspect ratio (via the menu/remote). Want to confirm before I purchase the projector. Thanks in advance. | moderator Joined: Mar 28, 2005 Posts: 13,328 |
This is very typical of halfway decent 16:10 models.
Check the manual, but I almost always recommend 16:9 screens to go along with 16:10 projectors. You end up using 1920x1080 pixels, providing a 1080p image that matches many laptop screens.
The screen setting will be documented in the manual and I would be hard pressed to say specifically which models support this feature. You can also reach out to the manufacturers directly to ask them to ensure you won't have any issues. Thank you, I will check the manual. Looking at buying the Panasonic PT-MZ670U projector. |
