I want to buy Fengmi 4K Cinema Pro (UST projector).
And looking a screen for this one.
Please advise the best quality/price for it. I have living room with white walls but with controlled light. Is it necessary to buy ALR screen which cost 1500$ and more?
Or Elite screen Aeon series also will be suitable for
This task? Looking 120”.
Here is a link for this elite screen

You do not need a ALR screen for a UST projector. While UST projectors are a good deal more difficult to align to a screen compared to their standard throw counterparts, they provide a convenience that some people really like. Also, the newest UST projectors fair very well with image quality compared to their standard throw counterparts.

If you do not use a ALR screen designed for UST, then the light from the projector will have a fair bit of bounce upwards towards the ceiling. This can be bothersome to some as it will create an obvious hot spot on the ceiling above the screen.

But, it won't have a dramatic impact on image quality in a darkened room. In a room with dark paint on walls and ceilings, then using a ALR screen would not be recommended.

With a white ceiling, I would lean towards an ALR screen, but I have yet to see an ALR screen which doesn't pretty significantly degrade image quality.

The AEON frame from Elite Screens is a frame/screen design, not a screen surface. So, it's just a normal screen. Nothing special. I would just get a SilverTicket screen if I were to get a standard white screen.

Elite's UST material is called CLR 2.

Here is some discussion of UST ALR screens, with some echoes of what I said above from others...

Thanks for your post.
I find out from silver ticket catalogue the screen 120” for UST projector. There was only one option with such parameters. Here is a link:

You wrote that you would choose white material screen from silver ticket. But it’s If you don’t have UST projector?
In Elite screen catalogue only one screen with CLR2 technology, but 100” only. I prefer 120”.
If possible just advise the mode of screen which will be good with my projector and not overpriced. Because as I understand I also can choose elitescreen with cinegrey material. As on link below. Or not? Only clr2 suitable? Please clarify if possible.

You said abt mattwhite silver ticket screen. I choose one:

Looks like it’s compatible with ultra short throw projectors. May be this one best of all which stated above?
I just simply get confused...
