My Projector won't turn on and the status ID blinks blue and the lamp light blinks orange and no light output comes out of the projector. I tried changing the lamp and still no luck but I am pretty sure my old lamp has lots of hours still left. I'm thinking of taking it to some electronics for service but I'm not sure what could be wrong. I appreciate your insight on this.

Hi there. I'm having issues with my Epson 2030. This projector is pretty old now, I bought it just over 9 years ago now so if this issue is unfixable I completely understand.

So basically there's this vertical yellow line on the right side of the screen. It's only noticeable on light scenes. When I google this issue it seems to be related to the light engine. What I find odd though is that the line doesn't appear until I've used the projector for about 1.5 to 2hrs.

I'm assuming this isn't fixable but I thought I would check before looking into something new.

Thank you.

EDIT: All good now I've just replaced it with a BenQ HT2060 and it's so much better in every way

Hey there! Are you fixit Frank from YouTube?

I wanted to see if I could ask you for your opinion.

We have a BENQ w1070 qprojector. The color starts normal and ends up turning a weird green. The reds go in and out.

We watched your YouTube video and followed the troubleshooting steps. It's not giving us any error codes.

My husband thinks he changed the lamp (adhd and doesn't remember.) Should we try that again or start w the color wheel?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Frank sometimes shows up in the Projector Central Facebook group, but hasn't been here for a while. What you are describing sounds very much like a color wheel issue. Lamps make light. They don't typically have any impact on the colors or formation of the image. That's the color wheel and DLP chip, with the color wheel being a common point of failure due to dust/dirt/debris and just general aging since it is a motorized item.
