Anyone know the max distance I can achieve for Dolby Vision HDR if I'm using CAT7 with this matrix, https://bzbexpress.com/AT-OPUS-68M-OPUS-6x8-4K-HDR-HDMI-to-HDBaseT-Matrix-Switcher-by-Atlona.html | moderator Joined: Mar 28, 2005 Posts: 13,328 |
I would think that this is most likely a 10Gb/s HDMI switch, not a 18Gb/s switch, which will limit any resolutions to non-18Gb/s levels. It likely can do nearly 100m with good cat6 cabling, but it is bandwidth limited with full HDMI 2.0 18Gb/s content.
The marketing of 4K/HDR vs. actual data rates is deplorable across the industry and that is likely not the proper product to use for the latest 4K standards, but is limited to HDMI 1.4 standards.
