Hey all,
I have two Sony blu-ray players, both have fairly standard, not-backlit displays that are hard to use in the dark while actually watching movies. I'd like to replace them with factory backlit remotes if possible. If I remember right both are capable of using the RMT-B107A remote that came with one of the players.
I see that both the RMT-B105A and the RMT-B106A are backlit, the 106 is criticized for the location of the HOME button, and the 105 looks like many of the text-printed buttons won't be readable while backlit because they're just screen-printed on. It looks like the RMT-B116A *might* be backlit as it has a lot of white buttons, but I don't see a "backlight" button.
Any thoughts on what's good and what's not, or on other Sony factory remotes that you know of?
Oh, one of the players is connected to a Sony receiver for sound, if the BD remote could control the sound volume and mute even if no other feature that would be very helpful... |
