It's not for a projector, but I figured some Jedi Electrical Engineer or Projector Builder or Novice who knew no better, may have attempted to re-purpose an old camcorder LCD viewer as a monitor or LCD for a diy projector or... anthing else.
So, has anyone, or does anyone know, if the lcd view finder of a camcorder can be removed from the camcorder and fed a composite (yellow RCA) to be used as a little tv/monitor? I'm aware the resolution will suck. How about RGB or Vga?
I know that you can pull the crt viewfinder out of an old vhs camcorder, and use it as a really tiny tv by hooking up the right voltage & ground(s) and throwing it a composite signal; I was hoping those camcorders with lcd's would be setup kinda the same way.
I know it's a shot in the dark, but where the heck else would I ask a question like this????
I attached a youtube link of what I'm talking about with the old crt style. There is 1 comment of someone who says they did it with an lcd viewfinder, I messaged them, but who knows if I'll get a reply?
