another thing to look at....
see if your projector is set to display native resolution. ie, it will display the resolution it's receiving. which connection are you using from the DVD player? it's probably outputting 480i(or 480p). so the projector is only using 640x480 pixels in the middle its display matrix, instead of the full 1280x720.
you have a Bravo D2 unit. try using the DVI output and set its output to 720p. this will scale the video to match the BenQ exactly - pixel for pixel. V Inc made that DVD player for the purpose of using DVI anyway.
