I am looking for a component video switch to hook up my DVD, HD Cable box and XBOX 360. I am also on a pretty tight budget. I tried a $25 unit from Pelican and it had diagonal lines through the hd picture. So I need a better one. I have monster cable running to each unit. My Harman Kardon 7000 receiver has a switch but it is limited to 480p. | moderator Joined: Mar 28, 2005

On a budget, you may have to try eBay. There is no reason for almost any switcher to introduce noise into the system.
In the future, I suggest you get your cables from www.monoprice.com and keep the extra cash for things like this that pop up... And trust me, things ALWAYS pop up that need to be purchased for the home theater.
