do you have a HD box from your cable company? if not you will need to get one. if you do then you will have to turn on the other resolutions

1. What type of cabling are you using to feed the proejctor? (component or HDMI?)

2. What are you using to feed your projector? Cable box, vcr, dvd?

3. If you have a HD cable box, are you on a HD channel and is the cable box setup correctly? (RTFM)

Your projector is a 1280x720 projector - so if your screen is filled, then you are seeing the full 1280x720 matrix. But, the source may be of lower quality, such as 480i or 480p. To get the best quality, you need to up the source material quality.

HDTV is the main way to do this. While DVD also looks good, especially through a GOOD DVD player, it is still not HDTV.

To be fair, it would help if the cable box came with a manual. With my cable system, you have to scour their website to dig one up in PDF format.
