I'm looking for some suggestions on the perfect projector. This will be for outdoor use around the pool and patio. My throw is pretty long and will have to be at least 32'. I'm thinking I'm going to need at least a 3000 lumens projector. And my screen size wanted is 96x72.

Here are my questions:
1. Will I need a long throw lens and if I do can you actually shrink the size of the screen image (thus increasing resolution?) or am I forced because of the throw to have a larger screen?

2. Anyone have suggestions on projectors. I'm looking at Epson and others and budget is between 2 and 3K.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Can we assume you are only going to use this at night, otherwise you are wasting your time with a projector.

Ypu might look at the Dell 5100 Mp. Its not the greatest projector, but it has 3300 lumens and throws a 200 inch image from 32 feel which is just about the smallest of any projector our there.

If you need to stick to your screen size you are out of luck

Ok so what your saying is I'll need to increase the screen size. I can do that but I was trying to keep the screen out of the elements. Do they make a screen that can be outdoors and get rained on?

Also if making the screen bigger is an option then which brand would you suggest now?

I really appreciate your help.
