my last dilema befora i buy an LCD projector for small conference use (30-50 people)>

SVGA or XGA?

for presentation i use HP laptop with 1024x768 screen (which is XGA resolution). i have connected SVGA projector on it and it was ok.

IS XGA QUALITY MUCH HIGHER? is it worth for the price?

It will make smaller text more legible, always.

1024x768 is about 3/4 million pixels
800x600 is about 1/2 million pixels

So, you see a gain of about 50% resolution when going from SVGA to XGA. I would consider that significant.
