I have Christie projector that's used (300 hrs) and need to find best place to sell it. These go new for 22-27k without lens, so what's it worth with lens and 1 yr. still on warranty?

You are going to have a tough time finding a seller because of the very high end nature of this model.

I would think you could get $15K or so for it, from the right buyer. The right buyer will be very hard to find though. Most buyers in that price category are buying brand new, and often Christie is consultant specified, or comes from an AV dealer.

So, before you get very excited, the reality is that you may only get a few thousand for it on the used market.

Perhaps the best place I've seen to sell these models is on eBay. That exposes the commercial projector to the largest buying audience you are likely to get to.

The nice thing is that it is a solid state light engine. But, the lens was bought for this projector for the installation it was used for. The next buyer may need a new lens. If you don't include the lens, then the buyer has to go out and buy a lens, which is an added expense.

The 11,500 lumens of brightness is far to much for an average installation, and is much more common for a school auditorium or a semi-pro cinema. A commercial rental shop may find great use of such a model.

We definitely don't see many people rolling through here who are in the $10K+ budget range, and most forums I frequent are people looking for sub $3,000 (or $1,000) solutions.

I wish you luck!

Yeah, that's what I figured. Maybe an AV co. that rents these out may be my best bet. I could try ebay, you never know.
Thanks
