I updated to Windows 8 last week, unfortunately to find that DVD is not playing any more. I am looking for a Blu-ray player, at the same time it should be a DVD player.
Is that possible?

PowerDVD is compatible with Windows 8.

They have several versions, and you want the Pro or the Ultra version for BD compatibility.

For BD (Blu-ray Disc) playback, you will need a BD player for your computer. BD players are compatible with Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, and CDs. This is true for PC based BD players or stand alone players.

So a stand alone BD player from Sony will play back all commercial BDs, DVDs, or CDs out there.

Yes, almost all blu-ray player software can play dvd, and Macgo Windows Blu-ray Player is fully compatible with Windows 8.

Thanks a lot. I have downloaded and installed MacGo, but there is watermark in the screen in this trial version. Can I use it all the time?

The watermark only could delete on its registration version.
