LCD is generally a better choice for venues with multiple participating viewers.

LED is what those signs in Times Square are made up of and are awesome for daytime viewing. They aren't projectors though. There is no such thing as a LED projector. Just like there is not really such a thing as a LED TV.

LED is a light source and is typically not bright enough to light up a screen under normal boardroom conditions unless it is a smaller screen.

What screen size do you have/want? What is your aspect ratio? What sources will you be viewing? What are the lighting conditions? What is your budget? What brands do you have access to?

Thanks for your Help. May I didn´t explain correct.

LED y know the technogy.

I have 7 Room for Conference. In 5 of them i have Hitechi X45 2000 Lumens LCD and input VGA

Now i need to upgrade because the LCD colors is going down. Now that the new technology like HDMI is coming i want to change to that.

But i don´t know if i keep in LCD or change to DLP.

Best regards.

Both technologies are well over ten years old and have seen improvements over the years. DLP has a huge failure potential with their color wheels which are a moving part and could fail. LCDs have improved their color failure issue, but it is still a potential issue with LCD.

Both technologies have gotten better in the past few years, and both work very well and are competitively priced.

I would get a widescreen projector, and the biggest reason to pick LCD over DLP is that people will not have issues with the rainbow effect with LCD projectors. Google 'Rainbow Effect' to learn more about that issue. Since the audience is varied, I would not risk it if I could avoid it. DLP tends to have a few more products which have a better price tag, but LCD is very close on price, and has excellent product for the money.
