I have had my projector for a while and a couple of weeks ago it started to get a light blue color around the edges of my screen. Now the same thing is happening in the center of the screen. Does the lamp need to be replaced? I am not sure exactly what model of SONY VPL it right off hand.

As has been said many times in this forum, replacing the lamp will NOT solve this, or any other problem with the image other than reduced brightness/contrast. Any discoloration is going to be attributable to burned polarizers or failing LCD panels. Burned polarizers are the most likely problem in your case, the only remedy is to replace the parts, if available. If you post the model of your projector, we can check if parts are available.

I'm wondering if there are any polarizer filter parts for this model. I'm getting blue bias all over the screen now which progressed slowly from edges inward. I'm assuming this is the filter and not the LCD panel? Any help would be appreciated, I'd like to repair if possible for cheap otherwise I'll just buy a new projector. How much are these polarizing filters, and where can I find/order them?

Many Thanks!

You may have some difficulty finding them. My supplier doesn't list any parts for that series other than the PSU.
