Recommendation for a projector to display powerpoint presentations with a lot of pictures. Currently have an Infocus DLP640 but pictures are real grainy and colors are terrible. Have a budget of $4500 to work with. Laptop used for display is Macbook Pro with Nvidea Gforce 9400 video card. Conference room is 40 x 40 feet and light controlled. Screen is 9.5 feet wide and projector currently setup 16 feet away but can be moved easily. | member Joined: Aug 18, 2009 Posts: 26 |
I'll tell ya what, that budget is huge for your needs. In that price range you could almost project outdoors or in an auditorium (not quite, but you know what I mean). I'd go for one of these: this has 2 brightness settings, both of which would be enough for indoor lighting, the resolution is also not bad. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824018085out of these two I'd take the NEC http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2103430042%204088&name=%243000%20-%20%243500Your other option is to go high def, which would make sense if you think the pictures are grainy. check out this one: http://www.projectorcentral.com/Dell-7609WU.htmAlways on the hunt for a new gadget. Got iPod, HTC, BenQ (new GP1 mini projector!), Optoma, Dell already. What's next? | --- Advertisement ---
