Chalk up another very satisfied user of its little brother the H77. My wife is certainly not a techie by any extent of the imagination but had no problems justifying the just under 3k pricetag of the H77.

Guess I cant contribute anything model specific but from what I can tell these two units share the same chasis. It is big, theres no doubt about that. Installation options are pretty flexible with the lense shift etc. Another FYI if this is your first projector like this one is mine, if you can make it dark you will be more than satisfied with the brightness coming out of this thing (since both the H78 and 79 are rated higher than mine).

I know bulbs dim with time, but even with having light colored walls and the bouncing light coming off the screen it was almost too bright and I had it in economy mode. This was projecting from 18.7 feet at 119"

Goodluck on your decision, I couldnt be happier with mine.

Thanks CDubbs.....that does help and yes it is my first projector. I thought seriously about the H77 and even downloaded the user manual and read it 3-4 times, but thought if its worth it I'd bite the bullet and get the H79. From what I read it seems Optima projectors are pretty good.
Thanks again.....I love this forum.

Check out this review...
Interesting info and the screenies are probably quite comparable to the H79.
