I recently sent an email to Vivitek to convey a few concerns and let them know that we are still out here and we haven't gone away:
As a long time customer of yours who purchased a Vivitek RP51HD41A television back in 2005, I hope your company has plenty of parts available for these tv's so many of us bought. I have been a pretty staunch supporter of your tv, not your customer service. I am active in many online forums discussing Vivitek and the DLP technology. However, most customers including me have spent more time discussing the Vivitek corporation and it's poor customer service.
Many of us have had to go through hoops and mazes of emails and phone calls that led to nowhere, spending time and money we didn't have looking for answers and solutions to questions and problems we shouldn't have had.
So, I am hoping that there will be replacement parts available to all of us who paid good money for these sets. Luckily I stumbled upon www.vancebaldwin.com recently and was able to find the color wheel I needed and replace it myself. Since then I have gone to the people in the Vivitek forums and let them know there are parts there. Unfortunately on the www.vivitekcorp.com site, your RMA request form is a damaged file and the latest Adobe is unable to repair it so I can't see a parts and price sheet. Click on "guest" sign in and then type in your model# (RP51HD41A) into the corresponding box and search. They have many parts.
