How do you hook a Wii to a projector? It has RCA to hook it to a regular TV and I could hook it up dirctly to the projector but then I would have no sound.
My projector is a Mitsublshi HC 4900

My receiver is a Yamaha RX V563

My HD DVD player is a Toshiba HD-A3

My Blu Ray player is a Sony PS3

Sound for the HT is currently hooked up via optical cable from the PS3 and HD DVD player. I am just not sure how to get the audio signal to the receiver and the video signal to the projector.

I got the component cables for my wii and ran everything to the component selector box, which then runs the video to the projector and sound to the receiver. You'll also probably need a wireless sensor bar for the wii to mount above or under your screen.

You run your video cable to the projector and the audio cables to your receiver. Just like you do currently, only instead of digital audio, you are using analog audio (red/white) connectors.

Red/white connectors to your receiver.

Yellow (composite video) to the projector.

Or Yellow (composite video) to the receiver and then video out of the receiver to the projector.

NOTE: You should be running HDMI from your PS3 (and/or X360) to the receiver, then HDMI to the projector from the receiver. You should not need to use digital audio via optical/coaxial from the PS3 (X360).

I might have misstated which receiver I have cause I do not have any HDMI input or output from my receiver. I will just have to go buy a single yellow component cable.

Thanks guys

A single Yellow cable is NOT Component. It is VIDEO. Component is 3 wires, Red, Blue & Green. If you have Component inputs, they will be a group of 3 with the colors I listed.
