I bought 2 of Polaroid's TLX-0424B tvs on Black Friday 2007 at Walmart and both of them broke down with the same problem (the screen goes black while the sound continues to play). The first broke down 2 weeks before the warranty expired and I got it repaired. The second broke down a couple of months later exactly the same way the first had. This time I had to pay for a part and repair and to this day - the part still hasn't been sent to me. Polaroid just kept saying call back in a month and we'll have an update. They took my money easily enough, but never sent the part. Now if you call, the company that bought Polaroid will not help you at all and just tells you to take it up with the Polaroid estate. They offer no website or phone # to call so I have no idea how to follow this up. I paid over $1800 to Polaroid for a couple of defective TVs. On a side note, Walmart (where I bought the TVs) gave me no help and just told me "We don't sell Polaroid TVs anymore." I'm pretty sure I saw one there not too long ago. If you are moving forward with the lawsuit, count me in.

After I researched different postings I have just discovered that in just one month at least 57 of us were taken for over $1500 and there really seems there is nothing we could do. Every one of us bought our TV's in the spring of 2007 and all of them have died in the month's of April and May 2008. I am not sure where everyone bought them but the concensus is between Walmart, Circuit City received these duds. The Company doesn't care to help and nor do any of the extended warranty's. After researching I am in belief there are more than just 57 of us. Maybe we should sue the Polaroid company and parent groups, affilliations, stock holders and the stores in which we purched them. I don't want a large sum of money, I just want my tv fixed.

I think we would qualify for a class action suit just the 57 of us have paid $85,500 that is approx. not including those of us that took it to be repaired and paid diagnostics to find out what is wrong. If you are interested in resolving this issue with me post back mean while I will inhance my research with corporate law and comsumer rights and contact all organizations involved.
