I need help with my Optoma HD81. I have my projector installed and it requires approximately 30 or so feet of HDMI and Null Modem cables. On an irregular basis, the lamp goes out. It is not a heat issue -- sometimes it happens after only being on for a few minutes. The video source is not the problem either as it will happen with cable, DVDs, and XBOX. Optoma checked the unit and reported it was working without failure. Some nights it will shut down 3 or 4 times, other nights, it will work without failing. Any help is appreciated! | member Joined: Aug 3, 2008 Posts: 1 |

Just for grins, try running a different feed, say Video or Component, whatever you have enough of and see if it does on that. Is the image up until the very moment that the projector shuts down?
