Topic:   Short Throw Optima GT1080 darbee blurred corners?
Just to let you know the outcome. Optoma have replaced the engine in the projector. Could this be what caused the focus problem I've been talking about? Also what part do they mean when they say they replaced the engine? Thanks again..
Hi, I have just bought an Optoma GT1080 Darbee and I have the same issue with the top left corner being very blurry. Did the fix Optoma did for you on the projector fix this? Thanks, Scott.

Topic:   Short Throw Optima GT1080 darbee blurred corners?

Can someone tell me if it is normal for these short throw projectors to be slightly blurry in one of the corners? I can't seem to get a clear and shape image all the way around the screen on this short throw projector. I focus the right side of the screen and it's clear and sharpe, but the bottom left corner and further up the left becomes a bit blurry. It's also the same when I try to bring the left side in to focus, I then find it's the right side of the screen becomes slightly blurry? The projector is 100% straight to the wall, so I'm just wondering if this is common with these short throw Projectors? Thank you!

Topic:   Corners slightly out of Focus. A concern ?

Got my first ever Projector which is an Optoma GT1080darbee. When setting it up I noticed that when using the test pattern to focus, if I got the centre focused the top corners are noticeably out of focus. If I get the corners in focus, then the center is slightly out. I have tried this at 2 locations of 4 different walls , so it is not the Wall. Being an £800 short throw projector, is this to be expected or should I have it looked at or is it something I can fix? This is not noticeable when playing a game or watching a film, but when connecting a PC, then it is noticeable. Apart from that, very happy with it.

Topic:   gt1080 darbee questions

Hi - recently acquired a gt1080 darbee to replace my aging hd142x. The screen is brighter and crisper, and is quite nice. However, I noticed the fan is noticeably louder. It is ~45dB at the side of the projector in ECO mode. Is that typical with the gt1080 darbee? Perhaps it has to be worn in a bit to lower the fan noise? It also didn't come with a manual but not sure if that's typical these days with projectors?
