Well, my projector went out the other day. After looking at the bulb it looks like it has a crack in the filiment. Someone said to check the continuity of the bulb, if there is none, then it's gone, is that true?
Anyways, if I have to buy a new bulb it is about $300. The projector is a PLUS U2-1110. I run HD TV, cable TV, games, DVDs to the projector through my samsung TS360 DirectTV box which upconverts anything that is not 720P to a 720P signal.
Would you spend the $300 on a bulb, or use that $300 towards a new projector (I would have to stay under $1k). Will I notice a difference with a newer one, especially a native 720P projector. My screen size is 80x60.
Any help/opinions would be great,
Jeremie |
