Topic:   Problem with InFocus LP335

Hello all, I'm new here, and hopefully someone out there has an answer or some advice for a problem I'm having. I was given an InFocus LP335 DLP projector, and it powers on and displays an image just fine -- but after about 45 seconds, the lamp shuts off, yet the projector keeps running. At first, I thought it was an inactivity timer or something, but after playing around with it, the lamp will shut off even if there's an image being displayed, or if I'm navigating the projector's menus. I've tried removing and reinstalling the bulb assembly, and also gently blew all the dust out of the inside of the projector with canned air. My first thought was that the bulb is shutting off because it hit a lamp life limit, e.g. 1000 hours. But before I was given the projector, the lamp life timer had been reset, so the projector thinks it has a new bulb installed. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks!

Topic:   Infocus LP330 problem

I have an LP330 projector that is not able to detect the source input. I have tried routing video, data and s-video, however the projector does not display any image. (except for the blue screen and menu) The audio connection works, allowing playback through the internal speakers. The only thing that is displayed is the normal menu that can be viewed, and options changed as required - and also a message in the right hand bottom corner advising that 'no input is detected' - as it cycles through the various input selections. (data, video, etc.) I was wondering if there could be a fault with the video/main board, or if there is a possiblity of resetting factory defaults, or re-initialising the projector? I do not have a remote control at present, so I'm not sure if there is a function on the remote that will reset defaults? If there are any techs or others that have encounted this before - it would be most appreciated if you could provide any hints. Thank you. Michael
