I just purchased an Optoma EH501 and would like to know if anyone has had this projector professionally calibrated for HD video or know of someplace online where I can find calibration specs. At first glance the projector looks great with Blu-Ray movies but I'm sure the image can be greatly improved if calibrated properly. I'm only interested in viewing 2D in a dark environment on a 16' screen.
Since there seems to be so little information and feedback on the internet about this projector, I'm wondering if one of Optomas other more popular projectors is close enough in specs. so that it's calibration adjustments might be similar.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone have experiance using the Optoma EH501 for 3d home theatre? My theatre is very large with a 16' by 9' screen. Projector central recomends the Optoma HD25-LV for large screen 3D but it only has 3200 lumens compared to the eh 501 which has 5000. Are these about the same projector only a bit more expensive for more light output? Or would I be sacraficing video quality going with the EH501 and should I just mask part of my screen and go with the HD25-LV?
Is there another option under $2000 that would be best for very large screen 3D?
Any ideas or help would be appreaciated.
