Yet another thread about a problematic old projector from eBay. This projector suffers from a clear ghost image. I've searched the forum and found some threads about ghost image problems, from those I've concluded that this might not be a physical issue with the mirrors or LCD-panel misalignment. Please correct me if I am wrong. Instead this could perhaps be a software related problem, that could be fixed with a new firmware or by fine tuning the image somehow by software. Now I would've already tried upgrading the firmware, but another problem is that I cannot download it from the ASK/Proxima website. I found this page: http://www.askproxima.com/service/ImpressionA10/ImpressionA10software.asp . But cannot register and download the firmware because my serial number is not accepted. I've tried all possible variations that I've found from my projector with no luck. I've contacted ASK / Infocus twice on this matter without getting any reply. So any tips for getting the firmware from that page? Or is the projector even repairable? I've attached two photos displaying the projector image. And one showing the internals of the projector. I did not really find anything to fiddle with inside the projector. Thanks for any answers in advance.
