My uncle gave me his very nice projector to get rid of. I'm 17 and live in Connecticut and I am wondering what is the best way to go about selling it off? It's got to be worth at least 1,000 bucks.
I'm just new to this world.
Any suggestions would be really great.

Hello,
I’m writing from Portugal and I have some doubts that I hope some one could help me.
I’m using the LCD video projector VPL-VW10HT (sony) connected (component) with the Sony DVD player DVP-S7700. I was thinking if I’ll buy the sony Blu-Ray player BDP-s300 i could take the benefits with my projector.
The projector specification says:
Connecting to an HDTV 1035/60i just set the input setting to DTV YPbPr/DTV GBR. Use the composite sync signal when you input the external sync signal.
The projector has the following preset signals:
480/60p (progressive component)
575/50p (progressive component)
1080/50i
720/60p
720/50p
1080/48i
Complete information on http://www.thebigpicturedvd.com/vw10ht_faq.shtml#specs that an expert could help me with.
The BD Player Specifications says:
Connect the component via the component video out Jacks. You will enjoy accurate colour reproduction and high quality images. You can also enjoy higher quality pictures from 480p/720p progressive signals or 1080i interlace signals, if your tv, projector is compatible.
With this information and the projector specification what are the gains comparing with my actual configuration. Off course, if I could use this match.
Thank you
Best Regards

if you got into the internals make sure you didn't knock the thin ribbon cable out slightly for the green lcd, if it is slightly out it can result in a an color band or not have the lcd work at all. aisde from this since it switches sides it is obviously something to do with the processing than anything physical. i'd check the ribbon cable first.

Actually I was wrong. It does not swap sides. I forgot I had the projector on the bench, not the ceiling.
So it always remains on the same side irrispective of orintation. Any other suggestions? Thanks |

Hi,
I just cleaned the the optics in my Sony HT10(which I have done a few times before) but this time I have a color band on the left hand side.
This time I lifted out the complete optic block(prisim etc) to remove dust with air between the LCD and the various polirizers. I did not interfere with the assemble of the optic block, nor touch it.
I have tested inputing the primary colours RED GREEN BLUE and have no problem with RED or BLUE, BUT ON GREEN I have a color band on the left hand side. On Yellow it is red, green blue, white pink.
So it would seem isolated to just the green LCD.
When you invert the output in the setup menu, ie change from ceiling mount to desk mount, the band changes to the right hand side.
Anyone suggest what I have overlooked? In my mind it must be before the main optic block to change from left to right. Would appreciate help.
Have run total hours of around 8800.
Thanks |
