I just returned a new W1200 for a refund. I really loved the pj but had a few issues with it the first week and a half. At start up on 3 occasions, I had blue vertical bands running through the whole pic. When this would happen the remote would not work??? I would have to reboot and all would be well. I also had lip sinc problems on some , not all, hi/def channels. I wrote 3 emails for tech help and have not heard a word in 2 weeks. I would love to get another 1200 but am a bit scared. Do you think it was just a lemon? Should I perhaps go with an other make? I really like the DLP pop but not to familiar with LCD......Thanks for your help... |

I solved the fan cool down time. One of the menus had the fan set for fast cool, which is a fan blast lasting around 5 secs. I reset it to slow cool down which runs for 90 secs. I feel much better now. What's up with BenQ answering email tech questions? I emailed them Friday a.m. and again Monday and as 5 p.m edt. not a word from them???
I'm really blown away with the W1200. After some calibration, I couldn'y be happier..:)))))) |

I agree that it should cool longer however it seems cool after that short blast??? Unplug unit because the manual tells you to when cool down is complete. I did that for 7 years with my BenQ 6200 as per Manual but 6200 fan ran for 90 seconds. Still waiting for reply from BenQ.... |

I purchased the W1200 last week and love it. The thing I'm concerned about is the cool down. The manual states that the fans will run approx. 90 sec. and my unit only runs about 10 seconds??? The 1200 seems cool but I still wait for a few before unpluging. I wrote to BenQ. on Fri. and waiting to hear. My old BenQ 6200 always ran for 90 sec. however.....Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks |
