Topic:   any help for a newbie?

hello there. i have been looking around for my first projectr for a while. it seems the more i look, the more confused i get. i have a room that is 30ft x 18ft with a vaulted ceiling from 9ft to 16 ft with 3 floor to ceiling windows along the 9ft wall. ceiling fan in middle of room. ambient light really isn't a factor due to blinds, curtain panels, trees, and a covered porch. i am planning to use a screen size of 84" diag. with my front seats approx. 8ft and rear at 14ft. i have a projector lined up to get, but i wanted some input. please note i am on a budget and this is just to get my feet wet. the room will be used as a living room as well, and will just be used for dvd and xbox, so i haven't been looking for anything mind blowing, but i don't want a waste of time either. i am looking at a proxima dp9250+ lcd with xga capabilities. 1900ansi, lens zoom 1.30:1 350:1 contrast and native res of 1024x768, max of 1280x1024. 4:3 (xga) format max power 250w 100-240v. it is coming with a brand new bulb for a 9350 installed in the 9250+ bulb plastic housing(cage) to fit, with a 2000h life. i checked and suggested throw distance i found to be 12'9" for 84"diag with 51"h and 67"w. my major concerns are the low contrast (350:1) and screen type. i know this is a business type projector and movies may not be as crisp, but i would like some reviews or opinions if anyone can help. i was thinking of going with a high contrast grey screen or paint, but i really have no idea. thanks for any help. have a great day.
