Well E-U-R-E-K-A... after trying Radio Shack and Ace Hardware, I found a fit at Lowes. The screw size is M3 diameter & what ever length you need. Now, to drill a proper set of holes thru the base plate and I will be in a go status. By the way, the cealing mount that I am using is one which I havee been using for a number of years to suspend an Eiki projector. IThe Eiki still works well but it's time for HD 1080P. |

hi guys,
just joined as I have just installed my new optoma hd200x and thought i'd give a few impressions. I have had home cinema/projectors for 10 yrs but this is the first full HD i have had so i am bound to be drooling!!. I have it connected to a new Panasonic HTIB SC BT 200 (with £80 of free Blu Ray discs - thank you Panasonic!). I have it ceiling mounted at about 13 ft in a dark room with a 76" screen. Straight out the box and after configuring it for ceiling mount it was quickly fully operational with a few tweaks of the mount. I thought id try tweaking all the various image settings but no need - they are just perfect and the cinema (darkest) mode is perfect anyway given my dark room (even if i had a lighter room, the cinema room would still be OK) - and this gives 4000 lamp hrs. For £799, i cant see why anyome would want to buy anything else - the results are astounding!. Very black blacks, fantastic colour reproduction,, the unit is light, quiet and quite sleek in its shiny black case. Even the remote is great with the many buttons which means you dont have to trawl through menus to change your most fiddly of settings. For the money, if you are either upgrading to full HD (as I was) or thinking of putting in a home cinema system, this is a 'must' buy. Slight rainbow effect now and then but its not really noticable, but what the hell, its DLP so there you go. |
