It is NOT an HD projector, so it will NOT show an HD picture. It is an XGA machine (1024x768) so it will be scaling HD material down.
Both 720p (1280x720) and 1080p (1920x1080) will be shown as 1024x576 - which will still look nicer than DVD's 852x480, but for the price of the D300 (around $900) it isn't that big a leap to a 720p unit.
For outdoor HD watching, either the Panny PT-AX200U or Optoma HD71 is your best bang/buck proposition.

cant seem to find any reviews on this product. my question is anyone familiar with the product? moreover, is this a good product to use for gaming with a ps3? can i watch tv through it? how do i go about connection audio into this projector? much thanks!
