So I drop 4 G's on this projector, and indeed, it is the shizz. How-flippin-ever, al lthese great movies are being released to theatres in 3-D format. You know, Up, Beowulf to name a few.
Here's my thing, yung, are they gonna make affordable home projectors with box-office caliber 3-D capabilities? Will there be a way for existing home projector owners to retro-fit their devices for the same effect?
Whutz up wit that, yo? |

Been looking at buying a Epson PowerLite Pro 7500UB HD projector....stopped by a local A/V store that had one in a demo room.....picture seemed very nice.....definitly in our price range..........wish we could afford a Runco but thats the way it goes.....the screen used was a Stewart Luxus Delux with the Firehawk G3 screen material......was wondering how the projector was to set up.....It is supposed to come with a ceiling mount and an extra bulb....I can save alot of money buying both products on the internet....just wondering how it is to install.....thanks |

So I buy all these HD components. the M1000 monster cables, a pretty snazzy projector & some other stuff. I hook everything up and project on a 110" screen & realize I don't care to watch films in HD.
I don't want to get rid of my projector, but i am trying to figure out how to "downgrade" the image to look just like it does at the box office. Can anyone suggest "sweetspot settings" to project such an image? thanks. |

I wonder if anyone can provide me some "clues" as to a problem I've been having with a new theatre set-up. I've just converted to blue ray and upgraded my player (panasonic BD55), Receiver (Denon 3808CI) and the projector (Epson 7500UB). While blue ray content is terrific, non-blue ray, particularly movies that are 10 years or older have a great deal of noise that neither I, nor my installer have been able to eliminate. We even tried running my 4 year old Marantz DVD player through component direct to the projector and turning off upscaling on the Denon. No luck. Adjustments were made on the projector for noise etc. No luck. I must presume there is a way to resolve this and given a libary of over 1000 DVD's (almost all non-blue ray), this is pretty critical. Could it be a faulty projector? Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks! |
