Topic:   quality of gaming with the Epson 6500

I am in the planning process for my home theater and I am considering the Epson 6500 projector. I have read one or two reviews and some brief comments about the gaming capability of the 6500. They vary from very negative to slightly negative or neutral. I can't determine from the comments if gaming is not usable or if there are some minor artifacts that you could live with. I don't expect to do a lot of gaming but I want the capability. Also, I can't tell from the CFI firmware upgrade information whether that will affect gaming since it appears that the Normal and High settings recommended by Epson for games may not have been changed. Any information on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Topic:   Red/Blue 3D on projector

Has anyone had any luck watching 3D at home? Is there any changes to the color, brightness... to minimize the washed out color? I am also experiencing a halo around most 3D images. It seems like my colors need some convergance adjusting. But everything seem normal watching any other source. Any comments???

Topic:   which projector to choose

Hi, I want to choose a new projector, but my room it is ideal, I have some light, not much, but three small windows in my basement. So which one is better for that enviroment : Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 6500 UB or Panasonic PT-AE3000U My choose would go to the epson since the lamp can last for 4000 hr, twice the duration of the Panasonic, but maybe the light that I have in the room would make me choose the Panasonic. Can anyone help ? or any other projector in that range of price. Thank you, Paulo

Topic:   Lumen claims Canon SX60 v Epson 6500UB

Canon claim 2500 lumens for their 4:3 projector while Epson claim only 1600 for their 16:9 projector and yet over on projectorcentral.com the Epson measures higher. How can this be? I can understand that Canon would play theirs up (still naughty) but why would Epson play theirs down?
