Actually the Model # is HC6500, anyway
had for about a month, and sometimes when powering up
you hear the fan starting, (or whatever cranks inside), then The red light in back of the unit blinks gree 2-3 times and then red, in a continous loop, I have had to unplug the unit from the AC power and then it works.
any suggestions, remedies, fixes?
Thanks |

I have a Mitsubishi HC6500U. I have purchased a 100" fixed screen. I'm not sure how high from the floor to place it. Ceiling mount at 9ft and projector will be 16ft away from screen. Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance! |

Hello fellas
New member here and excited to have found a forum with a wealth of knowledgeable assistance.
I've read the sticky on on FAQ's, but have one issue that needs to be addressed asap.
I am in the process of building my new home. The dedicated Home Theater is 21x13.
My projector of choice is the Mitsubishi HC6500U, and I'd like a 110 inch screen.
I've used the Projector Calculator and the "throw range' is listed as 13'1". The area between around 11' and 17' is highlighted in blue, and my question is - per the claculator, is the 13' mark the optimal mounting location? Or, May I install it between 11' and 17' and still be ok in regards to image quality?
I plan on doing two rows of seats, if that matters to the equation.
I also have a lighting question. There will be four wall lights (sconces, 2 on each side). How many additional ceiling lights would you guys reccomend that I install? I know I'd like to add 2 to the front that shine down onto the screen (for entrance effect) but not sure how many more.
My builders meeting for outlet/lighting location is on Thursday morning and I'll need these issues addressed. Thanks for the help guys! |
