OK. I got my cable and adapter. So far, it's letting me "extend" my laptop monitor onto the screen through the projector, but won't let me use "monitor 2" (the projector) as my primary monitor. I'm running Vista on an HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. Any settings suggestions you can recommend?
Thanks! |

I've had a VP800 for about 6 months now. Worked great until, I clicked the power switch and then pressed the "power on" button. The unit light sort of flashed and made a click sound. Now, it doesn't turn on at all. When I flip the power switch the fan does not turn either. I first tried switching the fuse, but that didn't help.
I called tech support and they told me that it was the power supply, which costs $265 plus $110 labor to replace. Does anyone know of another solution to this problem. The specs say "universal power supply." Is this something I could do myself or will an electronics repair shop charge me less than the manufacturer's quoted price?
Thanks for all the help. |

HI there,
I have a cable for the VP800 Plus. Mine takes the standard VP800 cable (grey one).
I have the pinout diagram for the VP800. If I can get someone to make a cable for me based on that diagram, I will happily give up the cable I have without altering it.
Anyone got any leads on who can make a VGA cable from a pinout diagram?

Could you post a little more info on that upgrade? Looks like an excellent idea. |

I just got new bulbs. They don't light up. The fan makes little forward and back motions but is not running right. I have the remote. Does anybody have a manual for this great projector? Do you know that it has Faroudjia line doubling built in? This is a Big Deal, if you look at other projectors. Also a big deal is the $11.00 bulb- take a look at the cost of most projector bulbs-$300.00+.
Does anybody know where one could get the projector repaired, or get a replacement fan? I know that this projector is ancient history (1998)but I like it.
ps does anyone know if the fan not working fully could be affecting the light not going on.
also, cleaning the mirror in the upright assembly is really important.
I have changed the fuse in the plug socket with no effect. Electricity is getting to the fan, but not to the new bulb I just put in.
