Topic:   Optoma hd65 new bulb reset timer??

The bulb on my Optoma hd65 burned out. Bought a new one, replaced it, but new bulb wont light up. I've read on forums that the bulb timer needs to be replaced, but i cant access that menu since bulb wont turn on. I've also read that there is a way to reset timer by using the buttons on the projector itself... Anybody know how to do this?

Topic:   Annoying HD issue...Optoma HD65

I'm having this annoying issue with my projector. When I'm watching a HD channel, my projector will suddenly go blank and "search" for inputs. It only lasts about 2-3 seconds, but is annoying nonetheless. On most channels, it will only happen 2-3 times a show, but on shows with lots flashes and "flash backs" such as CSI it happens every 10-20 seconds. It almost seems like it can't keep up with the flashes of color...strange Here is my setup: Optoma HD65 Projector Motorola VIP1216 cable box (AT&T U-Verse) A few notes: - I only lose video, not audio. - I am currently using component video cables, but have tried HDMI as well. - I am having the same issue when the box is set at 720p and 1080i. Any ideas??? Thanks! Any ideas?

Topic:   Sound System

I recently got the optoma hd65 home theater projector, and I was wondering the different ways I could have sound. I know that one way is to have a receiver, but I don't want to buy that, because this is only temporary. My friend told me that with my xbox, I can split the wire and have a t.v. or amplifier next to it that plays sound. There is no audio out socket in the projector. What other ways could I have sound on my projector??

Topic:   Optoma HD65 Loses Signals

Hi, I got an Optoma HD65, whenever I use a Wii or Xbox with 480P or 720P using component cables, it would lose the signal and 'searches for the signal' everytime. Now I added a PS3 with component cable and when I play certain games or even watch a Blu Ray movie on the PS3, it loses the signal too. I adjust the "lock source" on the menu and still has this problem. Any ideas? Thanks. Areas that loses the signal: DVD : Works fine on 480i. Don't know about 480P. Cable : works fine on 1080i. Wii/Old XBox : Doesn't work well with 480P or 720P PS3 : Doesn't work well with 720P or 1080i. Thanks.
