do you see any problems with the projector lens at 11 ft away, with a sony vpl-vw60 on a 106" or 100" hdtv screen and sitting about 12-13 ft away, worried image might not be as clear as should be, thanks

Topic:   home theatre setup

hello im new to the setup game, and my questions are with a room 15'x17' and 7'8 ceiling height because of soffet, my plans are to install a 7.1 surround sound with sony vpl-vw60, sony blu-ray, str-da5300es receiver, da-lite da-snap 106" hdtv high contrast cinema vision screen, and for speakers a sunfire true signature sub, speakercraft aim 8 5's for rear in ceiling, on the side walls aim lcr 5, and in front above screen, center channel will also be aim lcr 5 and the l and r will be aim cinema 5, connected via hdmi, seating area will be 10-13', how close can i set this projector without distortion, im worried about height and how to mount it, i planned on building a box on the bottom of the soffet and setting it there but dont know if ceiling mount upside down would work better, please advise me with all you vast knowledge as for this much money would like to get it right the first time, thank you.

Topic:   Better of the two

I thought I was decided on the Sony VW-60, but after reading more reviews I like what I see regarding the Epson 1080UB. I can make this room as dark as necessary and will be using it both for gaming and movies. I am not set up with HD or blueray but plan to be soon. I will be mounting on the ceiling and am restricted to a 100" screen due to a max width of about 95". Both projectors are within my price range but can't decide due to the difference in lumens vs. the LCOS (not sure if I spelled that correct) in the Sony. Also, what would you suggest for a remote wall mounted screen. I don't mind spending some money but don't want to go nuts.
