Sanyo PLC-XP100L
Projector Specs
Ive come across the opportunity to purchase a barely used sanyo plc-xp-100l projector with a sanyo lnsw31a lens. I have wanted a prjector from the get-go cuz i like the movie experience and hd tvs just arent big enough for me. This particular sanyo is listed as LARGE VENUE unit.I have looked up the throw calculater and a 10ft -15 ft throw gives me a picture in the 88" to 111" diagonal range, fine by me bigger is better. Is there any reason this unit shouldnt or couldnt be used in my home application?? If this will give me a great picture at home, this unit was quite pricey when it was new in dec 2008 $5995 for the projector $3395 for the lens, what would be a fair price for this unit? I would still have to buy the projector mounting hardware and the screen.

Topic:   Sanyo XP100L Maintenance

Sanyo PLC-XP100L
Projector Specs
Just replaced the filter and bulb for our Sanyo projectors, however I just noticed this statement in the official sanyo spec guide: EASY MAINTENANCE The PLC-XP100L embodies both functionality and practicality with its accessible panel. The user can effortlessly flip open the top panel to maintain/clean the Prism Block system. Well-maintained LCD panels significantly reduce artifacts from projected images. // Nowhere in the user manual does it talk about cleaning the Prism Block system. Is there something I'm missing? I just want the projector clean as a whistle and if there is a part that still needs to be cleaned, I'd like to know where and with what. Anything you can add, I'd greatly appreciate. Thanks!

Topic:   Noise in Sanyo Projection

Sanyo PLC-XP100L
Projector Specs
Several of our Sanyo projectors are beginning to show "noise" in their projections. The noise appears in the form of gray and colored "snow" that looks like a still capture of television static. Even the menu options become degraded and are unreadable at times. I tried disconnecting the cabling from the projector and still saw interference in the blue screen projection. My gut tells me it might be electrical interference of some kind...but I'm willing to entertain other options. Have you ever seen something like this before?

Topic:   Outdoor daylight projection

Sanyo PLC-XP100L
Projector Specs
We use the Sanyo PLC XP100L with 6500 Lumen for outdoor daylight projection in an inflatable cube. The image size is about 8 x 5 ft and visibility is very good. Has anyone experience in outdoor daylight projection ? Have you used any other projectors with good results ?
