Hi guys- Looking for a little input on what may be an obvious question, but new to me.
I have a ceiling mounted sony projector and was looking at a blu ray home theater with wireless rear speakers.
My blu ray player and cable box is incorporated into an overhead unit with the projector. As such it is behind me, obviously. How would one set up the system with wireless "rear" speakers?
Thanks in advance.. |

All of a sudden one day the projector no longer has the same brightness it used to. Increasing the brightness on the controls does nothing. Does this mean the bulb is burning out? It has less then a 1,000 hours and is rated to last 3,000 hours. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it? |

Hi... quick question regarding throw distance / image size / brightness
I have the opportunity to pick up this projector with a spare bulb for $2000 Can
I have used the calculator to determine the the appropriate math... however...
The projector will only be 9.5 feet back from a 70 in(1.1gain) white screen
Mainly used to project Blu Ray movies and Videogames for demo purposes.
There will be very little ambient light.
Will the image be too bright? |

I have an oppotunity to purchase a new Sony VPL-VW50 for $1500. From the specs and the forums I've read, the projector looks great and it definatley fits my budget. I am concerned that at the listed 900 ANSI Lumens, it may not have a bright enough picture with ambient light for my use. I will not only be using the projector for movies with controlled lighting but will also like to play pool and have either music videos playing or watch the game.
I can turn he lights off that are directly over the screen and dim the lights that are approx 10' from the screen but the pool table is approx 17 form the screen. There will obviously be lights over the table.
Does anyone know if the exceptional contrast ratio of the Sony is enough for me to enjoy it in this way? Or is it for movies in controlled lighting only? |

I am glad that I found this place this is my first post here so hello everyone. My sony vpl-vw50 just crapped out on me. It comes on but all that happens is the blinking red light flashes ? any ideas could this mean the bulbs bad or has anyone else run into this problem. I am rather concerned as this is probably not going to be a cheap fix if it can be fixed at all.
thanks
