Hi there,
I have just bought a Davis Powerbeam VI off ebay, but have not yet collected it.
It was very cheap (£10) and I am told that the lamp strikes but turns off after a few seconds. I assume that the lamp has gone?
I was considering my options as to replacing the lamp, and I do not particularly fancy paying £200 for a replacement. I am considering replacing the lamp with a halogen or preferably LEDs. I was considering building a bank of 25-50 40,000mcd ultra-bright LEDs, will this be a problem as there is only one light source? Does anyone know if this has been done before? And if so do you have any tips?
Thank you very much in advance |

I've got the original CD that came with the Powerbeam VI. I'll send it to you if you'll send me your address to terrydee@earthlink.net. I'm looking for a "Buffer Cable for that same projector if anyone happens to have one. Does anyone know if the projector will work without it...if I just use a regular cable for my monitor? |
