I just just got me a OPPO BD 80. However I am not getting a picture through my projector via HDMI or Component. However I am getting a picture throught the composite video (Yellow Point) . What could be the problem? I have tried downgrading the connection to 720p and whatever suggestions are there in the manual but nothing seems to work. Help.

Good day everyone, I have had this projector for a while now and I am very satisfied with it. Lately I decided to attach my PC to the unit to play video game (mostly golf, sailing and maybe HALO II)this using s-video since my video card ( Nvidia GE7150M)doesn't have HDMI and the HDMI connection on the HD100U is used by the OPPO DVD player. Well the image is terrible a sort of greyish no color, very fuzzy etc. it looks like very low resolution and distortions. I first tried to set the projector as a second screen and adjust it that way to no effect. I then set it up as my primary screen and try to adjust it but it did not make anything better. Can someone tell me what is wrong? I was thinking of upgrading my projector and use the HD1000U in the rec room strictly for for PC gaming but now??? Can this projector actually handle playing video game is it the video card? Any advice would be welcome. Thx, alan

I recently ordered a new hybrid bulb (oem bulb with generic module)to replace my old one which was on it's last leg. I installed and everything was fine until about 10 hours on the bulb and I heard a pop sound, nothing to loud as my projector would make similar noises when warming up previously. I continued to use as normal but noticed a slight faded vertical line about halfway up the screen off center to the right. I assumed a hair or something was on the bulb so checked it out and to my surprise the lens on front of the bulb was cracked, split right down the middle vertically and horizontally as if something hammered the center of the lens. Now my question is what would cause this? I am currently emailing the company to find out what type of replacement possibilities and policies they have. If they don't fix this do you think this is something I can replace myself?
