HBO (Help-A-Brother-Out). I recently replaced the lamp in my Mits 1000U and I have to set up my display adjustments again since the projector was disconnected for a period of time. AVS used to have a forum dedicated to display adjustments on a per brand and model basis but I wasn't able to find it in their forum.
Anyone with a Mits 1000U with optimal display settings that can share their settings with me will be much appreciated.

It has been a while since asking any questions on this page but I do read post from time to time. About 2 years ago when I was looking to upgrade my Infocus X1 to a 720p, I would post a lot and got great info. I ended up getting a Mitsubishi HD100u and wow I love it. I am waiting to see what the new 1080p projectors will be in price and specs. But I read about the Infocus X10 at AVS and people raved about it. I came to this site but there is no review. How do you all feel about this X10 1080p projector? The price caught my eye, but I have not seen any feedback at this site. It is a very big projector I can tell you that. I was looking at some screen shots and the black level is not bad but the shadow detail looks great. I am hoping a 1080p will give a more 3D look. Does a projector need a D4 chip to get that? A big thing for me is screen size to throw distance and some people were disappointed in this. Does anyone have any feedback on this X10? My 1000u is about 15 feet from screen. Will this X10 give me the same size screen at this distance?
Also do you all feel the LED light source projectors are anywhere in the near future? Should I even think about waiting for that technology?
Wondering if anyone has a good method of cleaning dust blobs on their own. I'm torn, as I've read trying to fix the issue can sometimes make it worse. Can a shot of compressed air do the trick, or will I end up making more trouble for myself.
Over a year ago I had dealt with Mitsubishi service sending my projector back and forth to California 4 times before the agreed to send me a new unit. This whole fiasco started with a dust blob, so I would like to avoid that at all costs.
I've recently noticed a small, barely noticeable dust blob and I'd like to see what other options there are aside from the headache of dealing directly with Mitsubishi - especially now that the unit is out of warranty.

I have put together a HTPC for my HD1000u. Does anyone know if the projector will display a PC signal via HDMI or component? I can connect it with VGA using the pc input but is my understanding correct that I will not be getting the best possible display for playing DVDs\movie files?

New guy here with a problem. I have a Mits HD1000u that has about 700hrs on the lamp. I have noticed a slight flicker in the picture. It looks like it is going bright to dim about once a sec. Any ideas?
