So I was thinking about buying a projector but the thing is, I have no idea where to start. I found this site and tried doing some research and read the "Buyer's Guide" and everything, but I still feel a little unsure about everything. Basically, I'm planning to spend around $500-600 and having it just project on a blank wall since I don't want to even begin to invest in a screen just yet since I'm new to it all. But, I had a question about the whole set-up process. Now, I figured that I would just watch movies and tv with the projector but does that require buying other things thus driving the cost up? In other words, do I need to get special cables to hook up my projector to a tv or a dvd player or a jack in the wall?
Finally, I was considering buying the BenQ W100 as my first projector after having read some pretty good reviews on it. Would anyone recommend another projector or have any tips on what I should do? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. |

Hi,
I am trying desperately to change the resolution on this projector to 1280 x 1028 using a PC with Vista.
If I change it, the projector cannot display the image properly.
Does anyone know how to proceed please ?
Thanks

I have just install my projector - My first projector and my first installation - I tried to calculate every thing as much as I could and every thing looks fine, but when I fired it all up and tried to align my screen I have found that I am getting key holing to the right (my screen is narrower on the right hand side). I have some play in my ceiling mount but no matter where I move it I can't fix it. Can some one tell me whats wrong and how to fix it?
Cheer
