Check out the large venue-models from Panasonic. 5 different lenses that takes about 30 secs to change. In models from 4000 ansi lumens and up to 10000. Sometimes this year they will also launch a 12000 ansi model.
The manufacturers lenses are always made for optimal performance of your projector. When it comes to projectors with several lamps I have only been working with the Panasonic PT-D10000. Panasonic recommends that all lamps are changed at the same time for two reasons: a) More equal performance and b) uniform lamp time.
If you change lamps one after one you might end up with reduced performance both in light output and color quality. Of course, 4 lamps at the same time is a bit rough on most budgets, but that unfortunately is the prize to pay for having to use 10K AL projectors.
Maybe AV_Integrated can provide more and better info than me on this issue.
