I have a Dell 2400MP. I have been playing dvds from my mac. I have found that the midtones are way too dark. I have tried just about every variation of brightness, contrast, whitepoint, and degamma. I have even tried changing the gamma output on my Mac. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do? it is very frustrating that the lcd on my old laptop looks better than what I am getting out of my new projector.
Thanks for your help!

I am looking to purchase a projector for a K-3 school for mainly viewing art, internet art classes, and art interpretations from a laptop DVD or the internet. My budget is $800. Any suggestions?
I too am looking for a good projector to use for art images. Anybody clear what projectors has worked to bring out clear definition, sharpness, color, & fidelity to your image in Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator?
What are the determining factors to look for? Highest Contrast ratio? The Dell 2400MP has 2100 to 1, but has been criticized for softness & deficient sharpness on this site, I think.
Do the lumens need to be very high too?

I recently bought Dell 2400mp for my home theater system. The projector works fine with 50' VGA connector from my computer. But when I use 50' S-Video to play DVD, I see shadow, especially clear for text. If i use another short, 6', S-Video, the shadow goes away. Can someone help me with this problem. Is this the problem of that particular 50' S-video cable, or it's a general problem with long S-video cables? Thanks.

Im looking for a Home Theater projector for 1000 USD. I saw the Dell 2400MP but im not sure if it could be a good option for a Home Theater.
My room has blinds for complete dark room. The Screen would be max 100" diag 16:9 (around 84-87" wide).
Im looking for video quality and reliability for long lasting.
I appreciate any comments.
