Nice job on theater room.
I too converted a 12x20 room into a theater room with the Sony VPL-HS51a projector and 92" electric 16:9 screen. I have the Klipsch Sinergy F5, S5, and C5 along with an Onkyo 5.1 receiver. My old Toshiba 4800 DVD player is starting to freeze with some of the movies I rent, so I am considering a new 1080p upconverting dvd player. I contacted Sony Tech Support and they told me the projector is capable of receiving a 1080/24PsF, which is 1920x1080 or 1080P.
Does anyone have any experience here? Will this projector actually display 1080P with a dvd player like the OPPO 981HD which upconverts to 1080p?
Thanks,

Panasonic PT-AX100U Vs. Sony VPL-HS51A
This is my first post/projector and I've had many models suggested by friends and coworkers. I'm pretty much down to the last two in my process of elimination. I have plenty of room for mounting the projector and screen. I'm thinking maybe 120" diag. My only liability is that it is going in my great room and there may be a little light. I narrowed it down to either the PT-AX100U or Sony VPL-HS51A. which is better??? Also, I ran HDMI and Component video wires, the FAQ section suggested composite. I don't know what they are and how important they are. I guess I Need A Projector Guru.
Please Help!!!

Ok first of i would like to say i wish i found this BEFORE buying my equipment. e.g. "I have a 106" Graywolf II screen with my OVERHEAD sony VLP-HS51A" but my main problem right now is figuring out what type of HDMI cable to get for a length of 75' I have been to monoprice.com and they have multiple gauges and some have shielding. i am a little confused with all the choices.
*setup will take the cable from source under house and up through floor and to projector
thank in advance for any help
